What does HeadGames do?
HeadGames is a behind-the-scenes development partner that helps studios and middleware companies get great games and products to market quickly. We provide teams of people – artists, animators, project managers, programmers, architects, writers – that have worked together before using our proven methodology, called GameStream. Most team members are drawn from our permanent employee base – we are not a recruiter or body-shop. Our teams can help a studio ramp up a new project very quickly and manage complex projects effectively – keeping them on time and budget.
Who are your customers and what projects have you worked on?
We work with game studios (in-house and independent) and game middleware providers. For example, we’re a strategic partner to Cryptologic, helping them advance their gaming platform that has processed $50 billion in transactions and supports 2 million players world-wide. Also, we helped Adscape Media to develop the backend of their in-game advertising platform. Other projects have included simulation-based serious game development for the military and casual games development for Fuel Industries. We have also completed many mobile and wireless applications. Our origins with our parent, bitHeads, gives us over 11 years of experience developing products for companies like RIM, IBM, 3Com and over 100 other organizations. Because of that background, we bring a unique depth of experience that we can draw on and apply to middleware and game development projects, be they console, PC, web, mobile, MMORPG, or advergames.

It is a proven game-building partnership approach that includes a rapidly deployed team, a methodology tuned specifically for new game and middleware development and commitment to successful delivery that is evident in the way we charge for our services.
How do you charge for your services?
We approach an engagement as a true partnership and deeply commit to the project’s success. We back that up with flexible financial models that include options for fixed pricing, risk-sharing performance-based incentives and other creative financial arrangements. Our customers will speak for themselves about the ROI they realize through working with us.
Where do you do the work and how do you interact with our team?
We deploy in a manner that suits the requirements of each project. We may work on-site or, as in most cases, we work at our facility where we have development infrastructure already in place, which further reduces your costs and speeds team deployment for a new project.
Do you develop your own games?
No. We want to be a delivery partner to in-house and independent studios and middleware providers. We do not develop our own game brands.
